There are many types of food and treats on the market, some better than others, and some much worse.

Because of Cavaliers' genetic predisposition to heart problems, it is important to minimize the salt intake. Sodium is required, but good dog food will provide the required daily levels, so we have to be careful to choose treats that will keep our monsters healthy.

I have researched and taken courses to provide my own brand of treats, available now in the Ottawa Cavalier Emporium, but so far, I have only found one brand of commercially available treats with the same no sodium policy.

I will attempt to put any new commercially available treat that is sodium free here. If you find any, let me know.
